Wanted to say a massive congratulations to you all for such a great and successful Eden Run. It was great to run it and an honour to win the first one. I certainly think it can only get bigger and bigger every year. Nice Work. Also thank you loads for letting me in at the last minute as I almost feel guilty for winning it. LOL! Hi Paul, I've been meaning to get to this for a while but you know how it is..... Myself and Karen would just like to pass on our congratulations on a great marathon. The course, marshalling and drink stations were terrific. The facilities around the finish were second to none, changing and cafe/bar areas not to mention pasties and beer! One or two people at work have mentioned to me that they were a little surprised at having to pay (all be it half price) to get into Eden to see the finish and that once there there wasn't much opportunity to cheer on the runners, I must say that as a runner it was a bit lacking in atmosphere approaching the finish. Please don't take that as too negative though Paul, it really was a great day. A race like that takes a bloody lot of work and the product was worth it, I hope you feel you are able to be involved in the organisation in the future, they couldn't do it without you. We'll be back to do it again. Perhaps we'll see you at the Cornish if our legs are up to it.... Best wishes. I have just got back from a week of Cornish sunshine after doing the 1st Eden Half last sunday I must say it was a brilliantly run event. Thank you very much for a challenging scenic well supported event with loads of water stops, encouraging marshalls and some fab cornish support at every corner!

Hi there,

Just wanted to mail to say thank you for a fantastically organised and executed event, an utter killer of a course through fantastic surroundings. Thanks to all the marshalls without whose encouragement and constant enthusiasm I might have collapsed in the river in luxulyan. The course took a tour around areas I'd forgotten had hills when I was a kid, but great fun it was all the same with drink when needed sponges when wanted and gummi bears when the wall started looming. The finishing pasty and goody bag (Hooge medal) were welcome and the massage took the edge off the tightness (making walking possible), overall a huge well done to all involved, only thing I can say to criticise is that I can't find the event on Runners world so I can't tell tell others how great it was and to meet me there next year.

Hello, I just wanted to congratulate your club on putting on a superb event on Sunday, at no point was it obvious it was the first running of the event, My particular thanks must go to all of the marshalls en route who were unanimously friendly and supportive, even those that were clearly half frozen on the higher points of the course! The only thing that came up from the 4 of us running from Sheffield in order to improve the event in future years would be to stagger the starts of the marathon and half, as (I'm reliably informed) the start of the half was a little narrow. The only thing I’d say for next time is have the Eden Project staff more clued up – they were totally unable to help spectators. My mum had brought my three year old little boy to come and watch and while I was running they went and looked round the Eden Project. They asked loads of staff where the finish was and nobody knew!! In the end they assumed it must be in the same place as the start and got a bus up there, asking the driver if this was the right thing to do – he didn’t know either! Of course it wasn’t right and they completely missed the finish…little boy in tears, etc. and it took me ages to find them so I was freezing as they had my stuff! Other than that it was fab, well done! To say it was first year it was really well thought out and organised and beautiful countryside…stunning autumn colours and so pretty. Perfect post race refreshments, goodie bag, medal etc.

Amazingly quick with the results.

Baggage drop off and collection couldn't have been better. I could go on and on.

Once more though, I have to give my thanks to the marshalls who stood out there in that drizzle all day. THANK YOU everyone. I will be back next year.

I ran at the club yesterday infact and Mark passed me by. We spoke briefly and both agree what a nice club the st austell runners are - trouble is I couldnt speak for long - as he's obviously a little faster than me..

Was hopeful to get a pic of a lone hogweed in amongst the club in your local paper..but wasnt to be.. Nice pic of you all tho!
